I see a bunch of quotes about people claiming how it feels but what do the numbers says about milliseconds and frames of latency? It’s very important to have that information when a article like this is tossing out quotes with heavy amounts of hyperbole like bringing up Anbernic’s handhelds, maybe it’s changed with those now but the older ones like the rg351 couldn’t do full speed accurate emulation of SNES and had to rely on older versions of emulators that employed speed hacks to increase performance at the cost of jank.
I’d never trust anything that Iizuka says, dude is full of himself now and will follow up this by not understanding what people liked about Frontiers and will most likely seriously screw over the next game because of this to the deferment of Morio Kishimoto who seems to sincerely want to turn things around and listen to feedback.
I like how these Analogue people made sure there would be dozens if not hundreds of positive reviews posted on YouTube at literally the same time, this seems to beyond embargo as even channels like Game Sack that I wouldn’t see as making a video on this so soon made sure to have a video posted the same time as everyone else.
A lot of work for a console that will fail even harder than Ouya, Ouya had zealots within a day or two of its Kickstarter beginning and I haven’t seen a single one for this thing. @Noisy_neighbour Oh boy we’ve officially entered the stage where people start gaslighting the Xbone’s DRM vision.
@RupeeClock One of the best things about the V is that it has a 150hz screen this gives great pixel response time and allows you to enable VRR in Retroarch (it’s the option called "sync to exact content framerate") that makes performance issues a lot less noticeable.
So many words for what can best be summed up as Ouya Twoya, just like Ouya the only entertainment you’ll get out of it is looking down the rabbit hole of its development which has somehow managed to be more sketchy and cringe than the Ouya was.
That video is exactly what I’d expect it to be hipster junk dripping in that unbearable smug irreverent attitude, games don’t have any substance they remind of games on the Cybiko…

For a cheaper price you can do a lot with those Chinese handhelds including playing an near infinite amount of classic games, this thing is $179 for something that makes you say “oh how cute” a couple times before it’s chucked into a drawer only to be taken out to show a friend it’s wacky crank.
480×320 Is GBA ‘s resolution 2X which means those games should look pixel perfect but this not only means bilinear filtering blur for just about all other consoles, the 3:2 aspect ratio means it can’t display anything but GBA games at full screen properly. In summary this SNES looking device is poor for actually playing SNES games.
