At the rate these handheld emulation consoles are improving, pretty soon we'll be emulating games handheld that haven't even been made yet, and the other companies will have to answer to why their devices only run one system's library, and they still have to make the games we're already emulating. Their copyrights and trademarks won't buy them loyalty, they won't even have copyrights on their future games that we're already playing yet. No wonder the market slanders piracy.
My RP2 got bricked and I haven't been able to recover it as of yet (but haven't tried every possible solution either, I will do so soon). Currently awaiting my RG351M I found at the price of an RG351P, and in the meantime just using my tablet sized laptop and PS4 controller to play GBA games (most of which I have originally, even some I had to import). But I don't feel like there's anyone being harmed by getting old games nowadays for free, especially not if the "legal" way is to pay an arm and a leg, for what may or may not turn out to be a bootleg in the end anyways. Especially not if they weren't even released here, or even officially translated to a language I understand. Never forget that most corporations, including but not limited to governments, happily leave backdoors open in their "law" and "policies" to abuse "maritime rights" when and where they can, and are therefore themselves the most unethical type of pirates, so no moral authority when it comes to piracy, let alone ethical piracy, because someone has to bypass the pirates in power, who even claim the right to claim your rights, and punish you when you claim yours back.
Maybe because I used to only have Game Boys (we didn't have a TV), but even today I consider some of the GB(A) "demakes" some of the most incredible games ever. Rainbow Six Rogue Spear, Kill.Switch, Max Payne, Driver 2,.. all on GBA. Or Alone in the Dark: the New Nightmare, Perfect Dark, Cannon Fodder,.. all on GBC. Or what was initially supposed to be a demake of Link to the Past, Link"s Awakening, which was my first epic game and still among my favourite Zelda games. Still have all of the above, and it still amazes me that they even exist. Whether playing them on a Game Boy Micro, Advance SP, Game Boy Player,... They're still amazing games despite their age, few input buttons, and overall "flaws". Can't wait for the remake of Link's Awakening... Basically a remake of a demake.
While the art style doesn't really appeal to me, I like the idea, and am happy that Nintendo has become way more indie friendly than they used to be back then. Maybe some day on the 3DS/WiiU with cross-platform play?
Advance Wars should really get another sequel too. On the Big screen, with the gamepad for a closer view, maybe even รก la Game & Wario photographic minigame.

Re: Review: Playdate - Picking Things Up Where The Game Boy Left Off?
It has me really intrigued, but I just can't justify the price (for myself, I understand why they kind of sort of have to go with a high price).

But I got sidetracked.

Re: Panic's Cool Little Handheld, Playdate, Gets New Details On Pre-Orders And More
This seems very interesting, but WAY overpriced. I'm not going to bet that much on it being as fun as it is cute. Not even half that price.
