TATE mode was the feature that convinced me to pre-order, the Capcom games are just the icing on the cake.
Also, I’m actually pretty pleased there’s no digital plans. Particularly for many of the games on the arcade collections, there are no physical releases available anywhere.
Some great games there but the one that really stands out is Sorcery. I first played it at my Uncle’s house, where he had painstaking created a map (with photos of each screen!) to help him finish the game.
A few years later we got a CPC 464 in our house and I was overjoyed when my Uncle came over with a box of tapes he didn’t need anymore as he’d upgraded to the 6128 - of course, Sorcery was there and I spent many more hours. Not sure I ever actually finished it, but I had a blast!
It’s a real shame about the lag, but I’d still really like one of these as a collectors item, hopefully at a much lower price if hardcore shmup fans are going to give it a miss.
@Hikingguy It really was, I’d seen a NES a few times but never really played one for longer than a few minutes. My CPC was a monochrome one too, so just having colour was amazing!
For a long time this was the only game I owned for the PS1 and I played it to death. I first played it on the demo disk that came with the PS1 (remember that?) and I knew it was the game I needed to get from the launch lineup.
My all-time favourite system, and having previously only having owned an Atari 2600 and an Amstrad CPC 464, the jump to 16-bit was mind-blowing for me. I couldn't believe how close SF2 was to the arcade game!

Re: Sega Wants To Know What Mini Console You Want Next
I gotta to be Saturn!
A Saturn Mini with Dragon Force, Guardian Heroes and Radiant Silvergun would keep me happy for a very, very long time.
Re: This Cheap Hack Runs Sega Saturn Games From The Console's Controller Port
Pretty cool, but I kind of switched off as soon as I saw the portable Saturn.

Re: Best Sega Saturn Games
This brings back memories! Selling my Saturn remains my biggest gaming regret, so many great games!
