Re: Review: AYANEO Flip DS - A Great (But Costly) Way To Play 3DS And Wii U In 2024

Spider-Kev

@Time Extension:
"A caveat worth mentioning is that the capacitive touch panel on the Flip DS naturally won't work with a DS/3DS stylus, as those were designed with more primitive resistive displays in mind. This isn't an issue when you're merely selecting options or fiddling with your inventory on the lower display, but games like Meteos or Zelda: Spirit Tracks are awkward to play. Investing in an 'active' stylus elevates this issue a little, but these rarely offer the same kind of precision."

Seems like restrictive is better even though it is "primitive!"

Re: Game Informer Readers Label Ocarina Of Time "The Greatest Game Of All Time"

Spider-Kev

ocarina is a simple game.
It has some cool moments, but it's mostly boring and empty.
I also hate Majora's mask.
Skyward sword sucks
Twilight Princess is the best 3D Zelda game.
WiiU never got it's own Zelda game outside of the NintendoLand mini-game.
Zelda 2 and A Link to the Past are the best 2D Zelda games!

Breath was bad
Tears was worse!

Tri Force Heroes was unplayable/unenjoyable singly!
Four Swords (all versions) is unplayable singly!
Zelda 1 is good

A Link between Worlds was okay, but the world was shrunk down a few squares each screen/segment. Not sure why.

Minish cap was fun

Spirit Tracks was bad! No real exploration.
Phantom Hourglass was fun

Wind waker was fun but both needlessly long and too short!

Re: Anniversary: Super Mario Bros. 3 Is Now 35 Years Old

Spider-Kev

Played it on the N.E.S.!
My best friend and I absolutely loved playing the hidden original Mario Brothers game! I think we spent more time playing that than three!
Three was nice, fun and a little hard, just like games should be!
Games nowadays leave out the fun!

Re: Best Of 2021: The Story Of The Game Genie, The Cheat Device Nintendo Tried (And Failed) To Kill

Spider-Kev

The only reason I got SX OS was for the Cheat Option.
It's great.
After having played Xenoblade on the Wii, WIiU (both never finished, but quite a lot of hours into both), then on the =NEW= 3DS XL again, never finished but a ton of hours and then a =NEW= 2DS XL where I finally beat it, when I got it on the Switch, I loaded up the Cheat Menu, LVL99, no cool down, 99 every item, max affinity coin, and breezed right through the main game so I could refresh myself on the story again.
Got to Future Connected a few weeks later and didn't use any cheats. If I were to play future Connected again, I'll use cheats.
