As bloodthirsty as Nintendo's lawyers are, they aren't the problem. The real problem is the state of legal systems the world over that enable what Nintendo's lawyers do. Nintendo is only one of many entities abusing this system and it's going to continue until something changes, which probably won't happen in our lifetimes.
So this is the person who's responsible for the game boy music I've been regularly listening to for the majority of my life? I hope they're doing well, wherever they are now. The Game Boy is a treasure of a system with a mountain of hidden gems in it's library, and people like Hidehiro Funauchi take credit for that.
Support indie developers making original works on modern hardware and not nostalgia bait like this. At least if someone releases a 16-bit knockoff on Steam and Switch they won't be as pretentious about it. There are far better ways to get a retro fix that don't involve giving money to sods like these people.
@ChakraStomps I'll repeat my question from earlier. What do you gain from this behavior? You're not going to change anyone's minds and being smug isn't going to win you any friends, so please, tell us what you get out of this. I would love to know why you care what other people do with the products they bought.
@Kiyata Video games, all of them, are a waste of time. Many leisure activities are, when we get right down to it, they contribute nothing to work or society. And yet they remain valid because they're what people do to relax, wind down, and prepare for work and obligations. How people go about their leisure activities isn't your business or anyone else's.
It's been over 30 years and people, to this day, get judgmental and emotional over what OTHER people do for their free time.
To the folks spewing the "real gamer" tripe, what do you gain from that? You're not going to change anyone's minds railing against cheating, and they're having fun while you grumble about their habits.

Re: Review: Evercade Alpha - This $250 Bartop Arcade Is A Glorious Gateway To Hundreds Of Retro Classics
Does anyone know how difficult it is to hack this thing or other Evercade products? Cause that's neat hardware but it'd be even neater with MAME.
Re: RetroArch Is Working On Hardware That Allows You To Run N64 Carts On Your PC
Is this going to be any more user-friendly than their emulators? No? Okay then.

Re: Best Of 2021: The Story Of The Game Genie, The Cheat Device Nintendo Tried (And Failed) To Kill
@Magrane There's a reason why necroposting is something that's been derided on the internet for decades, but you do you.
Re: Best Of 2021: The Story Of The Game Genie, The Cheat Device Nintendo Tried (And Failed) To Kill
@Magrane I know Nintendolife is reposting articles but it still seems odd to respond to comments from half a year ago.
