I always found Link's Awakening to be appealing due in part to the crossovers from Mario and Kirby but I never knew of this crossover until now. Learned something new today.
LRG faithfully abides by the old adage about a sucker born every minute.
I buy physical for games I feel I'll value long after I've finished them, but if LRG and its ilk are what I have to look forward to for physical copies in the future, then that may be what pushes me to go completely digital.
This persists to this day. A Unicorn Overlord character recruitment guide from Game Rant mentions a warning not to kill a certain character when you actually still need to defeat said character's unit and the narrative will just say the character just fell unconscious anyway.
Definitely amazing effort and novel too, but not novel enough to pull out while on a bus or train. The N64 gamepad definitely wasn't designed with "portable handheld" use in mind.
Because scalping is a strictly non-Japan thing. No, sir, none of that nonsense over there.
If he wants to get upset at someone, then he should direct that to the enablers: the people who buy from scalpers. Lots of people forget that it's the buyer who dictates how the economy works. No customers, no business.
Never got to own an SNES growing up, with the NES being the last non-handheld Nintendo console I owned until my Switch decades later. Instead, I got to play FF VI on my potato PC back then via emulation, but that didn't make it any less magnificent to play. Still the best FF game in my book, hands down.
Just goes to show that there are still plenty of possible stories to tell in the Iga-vania timeline, if only Konami were as eager to revive the series as much as Dracula's followers want to revive the Count.
After getting burned out by Infernax's final dungeon, this might be a welcome change of pace. Seems I no longer have the grit I had as a kid to power through very difficult games for long.

Re: This Game Boy Won't Fit In Your Pocket
The Game Man.
Lame jokes aside, seems nifty, but got too many things wrong with the design.
Re: Transformers Meets Street Fighter In This Amazing Fan-Made Brawler
I can see this being adopted with an official license. The DLC fighter possibilities alone would be a money farm.
Re: Unreleased WWE 3DS Game Shown For The First Time Ever, And It's A Bit Like Power Stone
As a fan of the Power Stone franchise, I find it sad that the 3DS was supposed to have a Power Stone-alike but never got it.
Re: Ephemeral Legend Is An Action-Adventure RPG Inspired By The Game Boy Zelda Titles
That Dog had better quit Dawdling and make its own graphic designs.
Re: Poland's 'Dreamcast Extreme' Magazine Looks So Good, You'd Think It Was Official
Waiting for a Vectrex magazine, possibly from Romania or something.

Well somebody definitely got kicked.
Re: Flashback: That Time Charlie Brooker Rang EDGE To Complain About His Own Cartoon
I'm not a dog person nor am I sensitive to violence in the media, but that comic does go a tad too far.
Re: Someone Is Trying To Bring Super Mario 64 To The GBA
Can't wait to play SM64 on my Texas Instruments scientific calculator.
Re: Vanillaware Artist's 1996 PS1 Shmup 'Devil Blade' Is Getting A Modern-Day Reboot
@Shiryu Yes, that's the one. Funny how I first saw that video shortly after my last comment up there. Looking forward to it.

Unfortunately, the machine that creates it is frequently broken or "not yet ready."

Re: Stories From Sol: The Gun-Dog Is A Visual Novel With A PC-98 Vibe
I'd like to watch an actual anime of this.
Re: Here's Everything We Know About The Dance Dance Revolution Classic Mini
I want this, despite never being good at this game. I was more of a ParaParaParadise enthusiast back then.
Re: This N64 Controller Can Play The Entire Game Boy Library
Definitely amazing effort and novel too, but not novel enough to pull out while on a bus or train. The N64 gamepad definitely wasn't designed with "portable handheld" use in mind.
Re: "There's A Lot Of People Who Still Don't Know About Playdate"
Maybe lower the price to something more affordable (and befitting its capabilities)?

At this rate it might be less hassle to just get one of those handheld emulation devices.

Phasing it out was a long process.
Re: Tetrisweeper Is What Would Happen If Tetris And Minesweeper Had A Baby
Like peanut butter and sardines, some things are just not meant to be combined.
Re: This Astonishing Metal Gear Anime Is The Work Of Just One Person
Excellent work. Considering how Konami is these days, if they were to hire this guy, it would be to animate a pachinko machine.

As both a life-long gamer and watch enthusiast, I want this.
As a working dad supporting a wife and two kids, I can't afford this.
Re: Random: Gamers Are Using 3DSen To Play NES Games In Mixed Reality
Super Impractical Mario Bros. 3.
I would say, though, I'd like to see this effect on the busier stages later in the game, like in World 7.
Re: Castaway Is An Adorable New Zelda-Like From The Developer Of Lunark
Not sure how much of "his" tiny game is actually his. He barely modified the Link's Awakening designs and already called it a day.
I'll wait for when he actually does major original work.
Re: Atari's Retro Racer NeoSprint Roars Its Way Onto PC & Consoles This Summer
This reminds me of Danny Sullivan's Indy Heat for the NES, one of the best four-player games on the system in my book.
Re: This Fanmade Terranigma Prototype Has Us Once Again Wishing For A Remake
This sort of reminds me of Live a Live's HD-2D. Wasn't a fan of its look. Same with this one.

Hell's Game of the Year, every year.
Re: Fatal Fury Producer Still Feels Bad That Fan Favourite Fighter Didn't Make It Into Smash Bros.
They could've given her the Bayonetta wardrobe treatment, though I feel that would probably make Mai unrecognizable.
Re: Jack Thompson, The Man Who Tried To Ban GTA, Thinks Video Games Can Be Good, Actually
For all his faults, GTA and its ilk are indeed murder simulators, among other things.
Re: Yuzo Koshiro's Shmup 'Earthion' Is Pushing Sega Genesis To Its Absolute Limit
"Limited Run" is misspelled. It's supposed to be spelled A P P A R E N T L Y A C C E P T A B L E S C A L P I N G.
Re: Fatal Fury's Mai Shiranui Is In This Zombie Survival Game For Some Reason
Actual soldiers like Ralf, Clark, and Leona would've made more sense, but I guess there were two very prominent "deciding factors" with choosing Mai.

Now if only someone would remaster Space Cadet for modern systems.

Looking at those glassy eyes, I can easily believe that it deleted itself... for now...

@Itobox I'm at the age, knowledge level, and status where I'll take even the current flavor of capitalism over the alternative.
