Thank God I never invested in this system, looked really promising. But now I believe this thing won't ever see the light of day, or D.O.A.

If it wasn't coming out on physical, I would of bought it by now. But will wait a few weeks for the hard copy. To good a game to download!!

System was canned to early in my opinion. Sega should of stuck with it. Such a shame its still a brilliant console. Which is still in my collection luckily.

Polybius on PSVR is amazing, would love to see this come to PSVR 2. The extra resolution would look even more incredible:)

Have Rtype final 2 on Switch, I'm a sucker for the franchise so will no doubt buy this new version.

Releasing the console in the UK at an affordable price would be great news, and being able to get hold of one.

Personally I love em all, SOR3 is a damn good game in my opinion. Yes 2 is the best, but 3 still holds up.

Absolutely ridiculous, these books are beautiful quality. Celebrating these amazing systems. Cant believe Sega would be so stupid to be silly about this. They should welcome a tribute to one of there best consoles ever.

Without a doubt sounds exciting, hopefully they can learn from Sarah Jane Avory. The level designs are spot on in Zeta wing and Soul force easily the best shmups on the C64.

Luckily i own the original version of Rondo, also I have an amazing repro of Sapphire which really ia close to the original.

Looks great, but the Megadrive obviously has a big indie scene pushing the system further and further. If the Snes had this I'm sure it could do even more incredible stuff.

@GlasgowGuy totally agree with you mate, can't stand these pay to play services. Nintendo do the same instead of a one of payment for Snes, Nes, N64 you have to pay monthly for the privilege, no thanks.

Sounds brilliant, but I wish Sony would give us the option of buying the game with a one off payment. Not having to sign up to a service.

Super Castlevania, on Snes will always be my favourite. Absolute classic in every way to me.

And yet another amazing article, love RARE especially back then. Still can't believe Nintendo let them go to Microsoft. They really seemed the perfect match for tech and innovation.

And this people is why this is and always will be the best generation of gaming. Pure CLASSICS !! And that's just the Megadrive, combined with the Snes, just magic !!!

What an amazing micro, have a lovely original 48K rubber keyed system in my collection. Incredible times. Also have a C64. These machines and the bedroom coders of the day basically created the industry we know today.

What an amazing article, amazing exciting times that will never be experienced again. I feel sorry for those who think digital downloads are the future. Basically if you were there you'll know if you weren't pay attention. The PC Engine was the whole start of what was to come. Then the Megadrive, Snes, Neo. Will never forget how exciting it was to receive my Japanese import systems and games for the first time, magical days, gaming from this era will never be replicated.

Will always remember the first trailers for this game it looked amazing. Thought it was going to have awesome combat, incredible set pieces. Unfortunately the finished product was nothing like it. Maybe a sequel could rectify all the wrong doings and design it around the original concept.

Was going to buy one of these, but trying to get hold of one is like gold dust.

Dreamcast 128 bit or not still legendary:) with regards to wiimote im lucky, have an amazing mini pc built for retrogaming. Full wiimote control with sensor bar. So able to play loads of gun games from various platforms. Even Sega model 1,2,3

If you love all school shooters you'll love this. Just amazing from the gameplay, stunning pixel art, brilliant soundtrack. Certainly happy its in my collection.

Lovely looking system, being a big retro gamer I will have to get one eventually.

@RetroGames totally agree mate, those mags seem like they were designed by gamers passionate about what they were doing. Unfortunately they aren't still around. With regards to Edge I used to buy it every month without fail. But after a while I realised there reviews were far to harsh. Probably missed out on a lot of games, listened to them far to much. I have just bought calisto protocol to be honest loving it, but its getting a rough deal.

Very interesting article, Mean Machines probably the best magazine ever. Amazing times with the 16bit consoles gaining momentum this was the perfect read every month:)

One of my favourite shooters on the Engine and there are plenty. Along with Lords and Gates of thunder, Sapphire, but as a Hu card game this is the best 👌

@RetroGames totally agree with you, especially on the cpu side of things. The Snes sometimes gets a rough deal with some with regards to slow down. Never bothered me that much. But when you look at games like Rendering rangers, Space Megaforce, DK series, Macross, no extra chips in carts these games are rock solid, proves that a lot of devs were lazy in there programming. Dont get me wrong I love the Megadrive as well.

If your a retro gamer, especially from the Snes, Megadrive era you'll know the importance of having a Scart setup. Especially having a Jap/US console the difference between pal was night and day.

This is amazing news, a proper old school shooter for Megadrive. Wish the Snes had some more new games. Cant believe there isn't a big indie scene for Snes. Maybe it's harder to exploit the hardware I don't know. But some new shmups for the machine would be more than welcome.

Both amazing games, love GBA zero mission as well maybe controversial but Metroid other M is one of my favourites.

Again what an amazing article, personally I love these laser disc games, always remember seeing dragons lair, Galaxy ranger, Astron belt, Mach 3, for the first time just blew my mind!! Another laser game I love which wasn't mentioned called Inter stellar absolutely brilliant to play. Would love to see these type of games make a come back on modern technology but I know it won't happen unfortunately. The likes of Novastorm, Microcosm reworked would be fantastic. Or Starblade 2 on PSVR 2 !!

Absolutely love Castlevania, especially the originals from the Nes, Snes, PC Engine, Megadrive. Never really enjoyed anything after that. Never liked the Metroidvania design and the jump to 3D. Maybe it can be done properly in 3D in the right hands. Or just make another classic 2D Castlevania again!!
