Cool... can you ask him to send me my Midnight Channel Edition of Persona 4 Golden on Switch that I ordered at the tail end of October 2023 already? I'm going to a convention in a month; Johnny Yong Bosch and Yuri Lowenthal are gonna be there, and I wanna be able to have them sign the steelbook.
This is really awesome news! The person who worked on the Zelda CDI remasters ended up making Arzette, so I get excited when I see fan projects like this because who knows? They might end up making their own game afterwards!
Wouldn't mind an option to use the vehicles from Pilotwings Resort; at least the jetpack so you can still walk and jump like normal, but turn on the jetpack whenever you feel like covering long distances over a short period of time.
There wasn't a single reason for Nintendo to not include the DK94 stages in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong remake, but leave it to fans to pick up the slack. This was one of my favorite Game Boy games, next to Super Mario Land 2, so I'll be happy to have any excuse to replay it xD
I can understand doing this as a project to test your programming skills and whatnot, but If I'm going to play Super Mario 64, the GBA is probably the last system I would would want to try playing it on...
While I understand his reasoning for wanting to keep physical cartridges limited to 100 authentic copies, and thusly decided against releasing the ROM online, I would argue that by distributing the game at all, you are opening those flood gates yourself regardless. If one of those 100 people doesn't dump and upload the game somewhere, then they'll sell it for an extortionate price to someone who will.
Between Banjo-Kazooie and DKC2, I prefer the former, but I also think the latter is the better game, Even if comparing it against the XBLA version of Banjo-Kazooie. I might have put Banjo-Kazooie above DKC2 if Gobi's Valley and Freezeezy Peak didn't require each other's moves to complete, or if the game let you set Rusty Bucket Bay on fire, but sadly, neither is the case...
This is good for people who want that Wii Shop Channel experience. Searching for games, downloading games, watching Mario run across the screen and shooting fireballs... And there are still games that are no longer available for purchase anywhere else, like Fluidity and Castlevania: The Adventure Rebirth... There are also games that were removed from the Wii Shop Channel, and I hope that this app lets you download those as well. I don't know why Nintendo stopped selling Yoshi's Cookie, but it was never rereleased on any Nintendo console since then.
This is amazingly topical for me because me and my brothers have been playing the original Crystal Chronicles using a Wii and 3 backlit GBAs. It's a fun time, especially since each GBA screen displays different information that's randomized for each area you enter, and you all have a different objective as well, such as defeating enemies with magic attacks, picking up items, not healing yourself, stuff like that.
Mega Man Legacy Collections, Ace Attorney collections, Devil May Cry HD Collection, Ōkami HD, remakes of the Resident Evil series... I get the feeling Capcom doesn't like this series... It goes beyond that actually, they must hate the crap outta Joe to ignore him this long!
I've got to wonder who decides the price of these anyway. I'm okay with paying $70, but for $60 you can buy a bare bones Mario Sports title, but you can also buy a very well crafted remaster of a GameCube game for $40. I feel like I would have been okay with those prices being swapped. I might have even bought some of those sports titles.
"I could've been a total loser like all the other people who play video games! Good thing I stopped playing them!" ...Why was this guy chosen to star in a TV adaptation of a video game?
If the game isn't available on modern hardware, I'll usually emulate it if I want to go back to something. For example, I modded my Wii U to play GameCube games, like Luigi's Mansion and Super Mario Sunshine, but I still bought those when they were made available on the 3DS and Switch respectively.
So glad they didn't base their design on the California Raisins. No joke I used to have nightmares of those things, I hated their designs. And considering those prunes haven't shown up since the 90s, I think we can see which characters were "unsalvageable." Good riddance to bad raisins!
Honestly, for the longest time I would have said the GameCube controller, but these days, I think the DualSense, Series, And Switch Pro Controllers are all better options, but, to me, the Series controller takes the win, because it feels the most comfortable in my hands. Plus, and feel free to disagree, but I prefer having the left stick parallel to the face buttons, unlike the DualSense.
Just bought the CleanJuice battery for GBA. Definitely kept the thing alive during long intimate sessions with Tingle in my Wind Waker playthrough. And no, I'm not rephrasing that.

Easily one of my favorite classic styled Castlevania games that I've played! It's a shame it isn't available on more consoles.

So are the games themselves rendered in 4K, or is this just displaying the original resolution blown up to 4K?
