Yeah he'll expand it and then charge you again. I guess if that's what you have to use on iPhone, then that's what you have to use, but I would steer clear of his stuff unless you have to.

It's cool to know that I can know so much about games, and still find out about a game that I've never heard of, and be excited by it.

Subscription services are terrible. End of story. You might like them, that's fine, no one can deny they are convenient in a lot of situations, but they are an absolutely awful system for the most part.

@Daggot Emulation is great, it seems like you have some chip on your shoulder and think it's inferior to original hardware, but it really is not. As for TV connections, I'm fine playing games on my OLED TV with Bluetooth controllers, it is definitely not a worse experience that my super Nintendo on a CRT TV when I was a kid.

@missingno_fgc I'm not trying to ruin anyone's fun, it's a very simple elegant game design, it's just my personal least favorite out of the top handful. I really like the anniversary editions that came out on DS/3DS.

Puyo puyo is probably the worst game with as many clones as it has. It's got to be close to 100 if not more, and the basic system is fine, but very few people have iterated on it in any interesting way, and honestly out of the big name falling block games, it's hands down my least favorite. Though I still play it.

Looks about as bad as the two Australian comedians who pop readily to mind.

I love falling block/ match puzzle games about as much as anyone on the planet, but this game looks terrible.

Bullying certainly happens a lot, but my experience the people who say they're being bullied usually aren't the ones who are. With exceptions of course.

@Blast16 There are hundreds of screenless devices capable of functioning as emulation game systems. But also you can just dock the device never look at the screen.

I really like the design of this from what I can see, it reminds me of shovel Knight a bit, but I don't like the sort of bullet hell style bad guys, though clearly that comes from the megaman influence, so it's to be expected.

You could certainly play it competitively, but there's a reason That NES is still used as the standard, and it's because it doesn't have all the garbage that the uninitiated call "improvements".

I got 9/20, which may seem bad but I've never played a full game, so I'm fine, plus now I know.

When I think of fighting fantasy, I just think of that sweet ds game.

Today I learned about skate and destroy. I guess I missed it because the best part of the Rockstar team was busy developing for N64 at the time. Though actually this was a late release game, so I guess they were busy on GTA III

I freaking LOVE pinball quest, but this is far too much to pay. This is what I just paid for rogue, and that was a really complex port.

If they refuse to port the Rogue Squadron trilogy to modern consoles, this might be the next best thing. RS3 is a top ten co-op game of all time.

This is probably my least favorite video game of all time, and it blows my mind that people like it enough to hack it.

Yeah it's a really important game, which is why nobody owns it, and I didn't know it existed until just now.

@KitsuneNight I used to hate rogue likes and now love some and hate the others. The term has just gotten out of hand.

@Digglerdig I am probably in the 99.999th percentile of humans who think about materialism, it's causes and effects, and the best ways to negate it as a natural desire. I understand your points and think they're valid, but I also know that people will do just about anything to justify their materialism without a second thought. I'm not claiming to be perfect here or anything, but I try to only own things with a practical use.

Kind of a big deal, I think this is the first time a port will be designed with consoles in mind. There were a couple decent homebrew projects for GBA and such but I found them understandably clunky.

@jimmytodgers I don't disagree fully, but I do think that putting so much emphasis on the physical item itself detracts from value that it inherently has. Be that a game, comic, movie, etc. I try to appreciate things regardless, but I do understand the importance of tangibility in world where the Internet is just this endless pit of nothing. I think there's a balance that should be struck, but there is so little balance in anything today

That's actually awesome, this is probably highest profile racing game without an English release.

My favorite thing about the modern Age of video games is the separation from physical materialism in relation to games. Personally I find the desire for more stuff fairly abhorrent.

@Blast16 I haven't actually held one, though I was very interested from the start about what the d-pad would be like. From what I hear, it neither does the clicky tactile feel, or the more classic SNES style correctly. Personally I want to forget my finger is on a d-pad.

Terraria is addictive sandbox junk. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just not the same thing, or even close to it.

@Blast16 I won't say it's as easy as pairing a switch controller, but my sn30 pro is by far the best all purpose controller I've ever used. And the ability to switch between modes at will basically means I have an extra controller for four different things.

No clicky d-pad, no deal. They are beautiful though

@KitsuneNight You might be in a minority, but I'm happy to be in that same minority. I find people who need achievements to enjoy a video game to be pretty unpleasant to interact with.

Engaging in bloody combat on a sex toy, this must be something new use of the term "safe for work", that I'm unfamiliar with. I wouldn't recommend having this on your computer screen when your boss walks by

But seriously, I think it fits certain games, like the injustice games, and platform fighters and stuff, but yeah SF6 looks silly to me.
