Subscription services are terrible. End of story. You might like them, that's fine, no one can deny they are convenient in a lot of situations, but they are an absolutely awful system for the most part.

@Daggot Emulation is great, it seems like you have some chip on your shoulder and think it's inferior to original hardware, but it really is not. As for TV connections, I'm fine playing games on my OLED TV with Bluetooth controllers, it is definitely not a worse experience that my super Nintendo on a CRT TV when I was a kid.

@Digglerdig I am probably in the 99.999th percentile of humans who think about materialism, it's causes and effects, and the best ways to negate it as a natural desire. I understand your points and think they're valid, but I also know that people will do just about anything to justify their materialism without a second thought. I'm not claiming to be perfect here or anything, but I try to only own things with a practical use.

@jimmytodgers I don't disagree fully, but I do think that putting so much emphasis on the physical item itself detracts from value that it inherently has. Be that a game, comic, movie, etc. I try to appreciate things regardless, but I do understand the importance of tangibility in world where the Internet is just this endless pit of nothing. I think there's a balance that should be struck, but there is so little balance in anything today
