@Mario500 it’s based on an anime of the same name that no doubt was licensed to them in Japan, as for wether or not it could even be used…iunno who would be the one to ask for the dub or if even there was an archived version based on said dub
@SaturnHero there is such a thing as “player choice” you don’t have to use it, you can even unbind the button in certain cases for that extra triumph and satisfaction
I can understand 4’s absence due to the complicated hardware but I for the life of me cannot figure out why Gaiden isn’t here, especially when you consider m2engage (the emulator they’ve since been rolling with in recent times) was used for the metal gear solid port this past year. The only route I could in theory see them take is they update this collection with CS releases, of which Gaiden is a part of
Some people tend to give it the title of “emperor” kusoge
But when you realize that the developer is none other than ecole, the same team behind such titles as Melty blood and Dengeki bunko climax, nothing will make sense to you anymore
since i have a netflix sub...ill give it a look, but i'll admit, i'd much rather throw money at a port as opposed to tapping a phone screen any day of the week (definitely see the difference with the port of air twister)
There are one of two ways konami can go from here, especially when you consider there aren’t very many castlevanias left to give this treatment: A.) ReBirth Trilogy (especially when you consider this is the same engine and dev team as Adventure ReBirth) B.) Dracula X Collection, finally bringing Rondo and Symphony to other modern consoles besides just PS4/5 I would say a ps2 collection is also likely but too easy for them to do in terms of what Konami can/cant do in terms of legal portability
How much you wanna bet the reason games for switch are still getting announced for a 2025 release window is because Nintendo aren’t fully committed to a successor…at least not yet…
I’m fairly certain once they got things sorted out on the technical side of things, they’ll release a digital version on storefronts. I supported them and bought astebros on steam because it was too good not to give them money after trying it in the first place…that’s the problem with digital market places, most devs don’t offer demos but then the ones that are typically get buried under literal shovelware
All the more evidence that Nintendo prolly isn’t going to do anything substantial when it comes to “switch successor” they have the safe mind set “if it ain’t broke don’t, fix it”
I’m willing to give the developer one more chance with this, considering this was originally only bundled with the collector’s edition of the remaster of 2…which is since patched

Re: Konami Announces A New Gradius Collection Featuring An All-New Sequel To Salamander
@mjparker77 typically people gun for m2 ports for the extra bells and whistles they typically add as opposed to a 1:1 low frills port
