Zero chance the big N isn't going to step in at some point. Same people that said it wouldn't happen to Palworld, will say that here. The bigger this app gets the more likely that is to happen. No logic behind why it wouldn't, is going to save it.
I think, and don't have data to back it up, but their "stranglehold" has probably been dented a little by cellphones. Even they've seen that as a problem and attempted to play in that market.
