I feel the Megadrive was seriously let down by the limited colour palette. I think both consoles were good. I guess we need Harry Hill to settle this dispute
@wiiware can you have Save States with FPGA? I thought that was not possible, and one advantage of Software Emulation. (I don’t consider myself an expert on this subject)
Never played this, but it reminds me of ‘Pipemania’ Just looked at the video, and saw “Sega”. Could this be the start of Sega games coming to Arcade Archives? 3 hopes of that
Could it be Analogue Customer Service announce that they have been doing some family history, and they have found out that they are directly related to Playmaji Customer Service ? (Twins separated at birth)
I thought The Terminator would have made the list. It was such a big improvement over the original. Also, along with Thunderhawk, Soul Star and Battlecorps were also quite good. Core Design really made use of the Mega CD
I always thought EA Hockey games played so much better. Just a better flow to the gameplay.
Kick Off 2 / Sensible Soccer were better Football games in the 16 Bit era
That takes me back. Used to have loads of these, but Astro Wars & Super Copter (in the picture it is shown as Super Cobra, but I swear the UK version was Super Copter. I think maybe Tandy do their own version) I remember mostly
We had an Amstrad 6128, although it had a built in disc drive, most of our games were tapes. Can you imagine now having to wait 20 minutes for a game load? Or longer if there was a load error
I still have this Cart for my A2600. Excellent game (with Parallax Scrolling). I never played Empire on the NES, but those C64 screenshots reminds of the NES version
This list demonstrates why the Amiga was so good. Ports of Amiga games on consoles are just not the same, Due to the sound quality (playing Xenon 2 without Bomb the Bass. No Ice Cream man in Speed Ball 2), colour pallet, and some cases no mouse (playing Cannon Fodder without a mouse just doesn’t work for me)
A personal favourite ‘North & South’ is missing though. The updated version just isn’t the same, losing all of its original charm
Although this is from the eighties, Best Punk Rock Song goes to ‘Edge Of Etiquette’ A song that was written and recorded in 1 night to replace a Duran Duran song in a Science Fiction flick. Still never officially released but still the greatest Punk Rock song (imo)
I believe this also has Turbo Outrun 3D. Shame this didn’t come west. Such a disappointment they stopped Sega Ages Classics. Virtua Fighter 3D should have been a no brainer, with Virtua Racing already available
I would love to have the Arcade1UP cabinet for this game, but just don’t have the room. I get my fix from Rogue Squadron 3 on the Game Cube, but it’s not the same, not having the Arcade Controls. Arcade controls could be replicated with Motion on a standard controller I guess. What are the chances of this coming to Arcade Archives? (I have 3 hopes)
I actually preferred the 1st Virtua Cop over the 2nd because of the 1st Virtual Cop having Multiplier Bar (encouraging multiple hits) - excellent for score chasing
If this is the so called ‘Big Announcement’ that was delayed from last month, that is very disappointing. They should be more focused on delivering the orders that they have taken peoples money for.
I think the 1st Shinobi game is definitely worthy enough to be in the list also. World Class Leaderboard was also quite good, having this on the Amiga, the GG conversion was not far off.
But I guess we could put any Master System game on here with the use of the Convertor
Will be interesting to see what the pack in games will be. Also, how well the emulation is. The Saturn emulation is very good from what I have seen, but there have been plenty of early YouTube videos from people who had already received the base units. We haven’t seen any N64 games running yet.
There are some short YouTube videos of someone using the light gun with NES Duck Hunt, and Megadrive T2. Looking forward to playing Saturn Virtua Cop on OLED
Why this and the other 3DS M2 Classics didn’t make to Switch is mind boggling. The Ages selection on Switch was questionable and a Crime that the series was stopped
@Hikingguy I still have the cart, but I haven’t had my 7200 hooked up for over 10 years. I was very surprised how well it played. Very fast, smooth. It also has Parallax Scrolling, which is impressive……most impressive.
I hope Taito continue to release their old Arcade games as part of Arcade Archives. I still hoping for Rainbow Islands, New Zealand Story, Chase HQ…..and Switch has still not got Bubble Bobble

Re: Operation Wolf Returns Will Hit VR Systems First, Consoles And PC Second
@Ninfan not sure. I have to confess, I have no interest in this remake, but I love the original, along with Operation Thunderbolt
Re: Operation Wolf Returns Will Hit VR Systems First, Consoles And PC Second
@Ninfan at the time, Sega’s equivalent was ‘Line Of Fire’
Maybe that’s what you are thinking of?

Still waiting for delivery. It’s ironic that there is a delay in the announcement on a gift that is to compensate for delays
Re: Best PlayStation 1 Games
Excellent list. I would also include G Police and Colony Wars. Also the original F1 or F1 1997.
