Got my hands on a Saroo.
After some fidgetting and using Martonx72's modded firmware not the "offical" one it works fine.

No hiccups so far.
It actually loads faster then some games ( Sega Rally is more response and i managed to improve my lap times)

Which I like in concept but it's a hacked up proper Saturn console.
I'd rather the open source community tackled the idea of a hardware clone

My saroo is also a black see through which fits nicely with my Skeleton Saturn.
The whole thing lights up like a christmas tree from the 80's , and it delights the 10 year old in me.

Hope it plays better then Golden Axe, because that has aged badly.
It was bare bones even back in the day.

I'm all for quirky games as opposed to the usual shooty bang bang FPS, fussboll. Dork Souls lite rip off or the usual remasters and sequels to games made in the past decade or so.

Well I guess Neo Geo CD owners can bog off.

I'll boot up the Neo Geo Cd and suffer, like G did, though the loading times.

I find that pyramid head one a tad disturbing.

Pay to win garbage in other words.
I'd rather buy a gameking then spend my time and money on this kind of garbage.

There is a typo on the article.

Peach doesn't really sound very angry otherwise.

I never even knew who the voice actors were of this game, but its always nice to hear that 30 years on the people involved are still alive and well.

Not their fault the game and its cutscenes are uhm "speshul" nobody sets out to make something awfull.
So let's just settle for campy.

I'm starting to drift away from moderncurrent gaming as well.
It's become way too predatory along with dull sequels.
If I stopped buying new games now, well im sorted for a decade at the very least.

I briefly considered that, but the problem is that none of the Amiga games mean anything to me.
They are just titles and no more then that.

I got a massive backlog, with a 1200 games on Steam and Gog alone.

Starting at the ground floor with a system that is a total unknown to me , while i have a mountain of games to play just isn't very appealing to me.

I do have an Evercade though, maybe some Amiga collection will appeal to me there.
I'm waitinghoping for ps1 games ot appear on that though.

Nah, there is so much on the Amiga that I wouldn't even know where to start.
I know very little about the machine beyond that the 500 is the one to have.
The 600 is a consolation price.
The 1000 is decent.
And the 3000 and 4000 make PD Saga look cheap.

The Amiga and all the other home computers ( C64, Spectrum, CPC, ST, MSX) were before my time.

And to be honest, I got so much to play as is, the Amiga is a rabbit hole that's easy to get lost in.

Its not Final Fight Honest !!!

Never had or touched an Amiga, so i'll wait for the windows demo.

Hobbies can over come speculators just look at comics baseball cards or collectible card games.
It may take a crash or two, but eventually the speculator bubble will burst, and they will piss off to ruin some other hobby.

It's starting to get harder and harder to care about these thingsthe handheld market is so over saturated its starting to become a joke.

Having said that, if i were in the market it would be for this one because it has decent size screen, and isnt cramped looking.

So no doubt it wil cost as much as a ps5 or a copy of pd saga.

I'll get excited with a release point and price point in place.

...Well, it beats dead eyed soul less unholy monstrosities otherwise known as Funko pops I suppose.

How about a new bloody Ridge Racer game then Namco ?

The Evercade comes off as a right good deal/package.

I had a look at the EU vendor , this little joke would cost me upwards of 700 bux.
I build a brand new gaming pc with an RTX card for less.

Most likely yes.
Though lets be honest here, its just appears to be a bog standard Snes controller, with a slightly different shell.

The Sony Playstation tampographs are what makes it valuable.

I find achievements pointless, meaningless, wastes of time that do absolutley nothing for me.

If others like the virtual ass pats for doing the most mundane tasks in a game, like booting the game, or beating the first chapter , then good for them I suppose.

But they do nothing for me and generally speaking I ignore them.

The only "use" and i use that term loosely, they may have is to see how many gamers reach certain points and finish their games .

But other then that they are virtual knick knacks.

I wouldn't have minded seeing a rally stage, based on the redwood park though.

It looks and runs fine, using a 360 controller.
Wish it replaced the keyboard prompts for Xbox button prompts though.

No it's more like it's so bad its hilarious.
So inept that all you can do is point and laugh at its many faults.

Like MST3K did with many many many terrible ( or dull ) movies.

The worst thing entertainment can do is be boring.
