Huge mistake on their part to not release digital versions. I was more than happy to buy my copy of Astebros to play on my MiSTer. Will not be supporting this effort at all. Bad move Neofid!
I wonder if the core will use the Pocket's variable refresh display to run the games at 55hz, which is what M72 games run at. My MiSTer runs them at 55hz on my LG C3 OLED, so it would be cool to have that on my Pocket as well!
The Turbografx-16 version is definitely the superior version, but the Genesis version still a fun time, and is quite different, so it's kind of its own thing as well.
@BionicDodo I got it working yesterday. For Model 2, you need to put the roms into the second "roms" folder that is inside the Model 2 folder. As far as I'm aware, that is the only emulator in emudeck that does that.
Also, if you want to change dip switches for Model 3, press "6" on the virtual keyboard. For Model 2, press "F2".
They need to fix the collision/hit detection for the game. It is horrendous. I really wanted to like it, but that killed the game for me. There are times when your bullets will pass right through enemies, and then other times when your bullets will hit an enemy that isn't even in their path.
The Saturn core is really improving a lot recently. I've also been testing each release, and srg320 has been updating it a couple times a week lately. Some big games have had critical improvements, like Shinging Force III no longer crashing when casting a healing spell.
WTF, both stores that sell it in North America don't accept Mastercard. That's like, the number one credit card in the nation? Guess I won't be giving it a try.
@WhiteTrashGuy No doubt. They had major problems between their Japanese and western branches at the time. Really makes you wonder what today's gaming landscape would be like if they went all in on the Saturn at the time worldwide.
I would say the Dreamcast, but if you include the Japanese library, it is unquestionably the Saturn. It bombed outside of Japan, but in Japan it had an absolutely stellar library of games that stomps the Dreamcast and Genesis.
I would say yes. It takes Metroid into 3D better than Mario and Zelda's attempts in my opinion. While I love the 3D Mario games, I also can't deny that taking a platforming game into 3D makes for a much less precise experience. There are countless times when judging depth and distance causes problems in 3D platformers, which just doesn't happen in Metroid Prime. Zelda did a better job than Mario, but I still think Prime is a significantly better game than the 3D Zelda games.
Not surprising at all consider Naka's gross history. He also forbid the Sonic X-treme team from using the Nights engine for no damn reason. Naka is one of the industry's most over rated figures.
sigh I just wish Konami would allow a quality developer to make a new 2D Castlevania game. And for the love of Belmont, please release another collection that contains the rest of the 2D entries in the series (the GBA, DS, and ReBirth games).
One of the worst games Nintendo has ever published. And one of only two Nintendo published games I've ever sold in my entire life because I hated it that much (the other being Donkey Kong 64).

Re: WWF WrestleFest Is Coming To Analogue Pocket
Seems really petty to not bring it to MiSTer. I have an Analogue Pocket, but I'd rather play this on my MiSTer for easy multiplayer.

Re: Stories From Sol: The Gun-Dog Is A Visual Novel With A PC-98 Vibe
Kind of wish they didn't go the green screen route. Every PC-98 game I've played was in full color.
Re: EmuDeck 2.2 Is Live, Offers Sega Model 2 And 3 Arcade Support
Dang, it seems to be bugged right now. Steam ROM Manager doesn't recognize any Model 2 or 3 games. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Dang, no Dragon Force!? That's the best game on Saturn!
Re: Best Tekken Games Of All Time, Ranked By You
I thought Tekken 5 was considered one of the best in the series, so I'm surprised to see it ranked so low here.
Re: Poll: What Was Your Favourite Game Of Christmas 2013?
Damn, no love for Killer Instinct? That game is incredible.

VideoGameEsoterica is a super nice guy. Check out his Youtube channel if you love obscure video game history.
Re: Review: Sinden Light Gun - Old-School Arcade Blasting On Your Modern-Day TV
If they can get this thing working with MiSTer, I'll buy one in an instant.

Re: Review: Retro-Bit 'BIG6' Sega Genesis / Mega Drive Controller - Bigger Is Better
Wish there was a blue tooth version of this controller. I don't have any available USB ports on my Switch.
Re: Square's "Lost" SNES Title 'Treasure Conflix' Gets Translated Into English
Sadly, it doesn't seem to work on a MiSTer. The game boots up fine, but the fan translated text is all glitched and unreadable.

I'm in group one! Hopefully I'll get mine soon.

@Scrubicius I said new 2D game. I played that game nearly a decade ago...

@Specter_of-the_OLED You mean the Genesis/Mega Drive.
