Nice fact checking there on the part of the producers / creators. Good grief. If I was them I'd put some text up during that part to clarify the truth. I've never once heard that he had anything to do with the PlayStation.
This is a real shame. I'm not as well versed in video game creators. But I know a lot about the creators of various super heroes. I always look for their names in the opening credits. It would feel wrong if they weren't there.
I really hope Sony or whoever is listening. Some gamers won't care, and while I never was able to play many WD localized games, I would love to try them out on PS5.
Great choices. Played them both on my PS1 when they came out. Need to finish Blood Omen and replay Soul Reaver. It's too bad we never got more games after the PS2/XBX era.
That commercial was awesome. My first experience with Nintendo was the NES when it was released nation wide in the US. I never knew Mego was connected to Nintendo at all.
@Sketcz Yes, but those sealed WATA investors/speculators just want people to see video games as art and not toys. It's not about the value. I'm being sarcastic of course.
Trying to build your game/genre up by tearing another game/genre down is pretty disgusting if you ask me. It's all too prevalent in political ads. That marketing can stay in 2010.
Yep. Plumbers Don't Wear Ties was re-released. Jekyl and Hyde for NES will be next. Meanwhile, we are still waiting for Rondo of Blood for PCE CD-ROM. Maybe LRG is waiting for the Analog Duo which can be pre-ordered.
hbomberguy's video is amazing, especially the last 5 minutes when he talks about recognizing people that really created the works. he brings up of course Joey Kuras, early video game creators that did not get credited and female video game composers who were not credited by their name.
It's a shame the link to this video is buried on an updated Amico article.
What year is this? 2023 and some people still view video games in a stereotypical light as if it's the early 2000s? Have they seen a Switch commercial before? There is no doubt video game addiction is real like other commenters have said, but you can play video games and be happy and healthy and not an addict.
I'm not interested in getting the Amico and I don't really have strong feelings either way. I want it to come out so we can see what happens once and for all. Right now it's all speculation as to how it will perform.
IDK. It has an optical drive but it uses emulation in part or fully. Hope it comes out for the backers. I have seen a lot of Youtubers with units months ago.
Very nice interview. I remember reading a Gamefan in summer 1995 when trying to decide between the PlayStation and the Saturn, having stopped playing games for some time during my high school years.

Re: James Bond Producer Didn't Want Guns In 2010's GoldenEye Wii Reboot
Interesting note about Golden Eye. Don't care to listen to the whole interview given it's Kotick though.

Re: Talking Point: With Sonic's Movie Series Set To Cross A Billion Dollars At The Box Office, It's A Shame His Creator Doesn't Get Credit

Re: Lunar Remastered Won't (Currently) Include The Original English Voice Acting, But It's Been Offered "For Cheap"
Hope for the best here but at least there are still ways to play the OG versions, either on PS1 or Sega CD.
Re: PS1 Classics Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain And Soul Reaver Come To Evercade
Great choices. Played them both on my PS1 when they came out. Need to finish Blood Omen and replay Soul Reaver. It's too bad we never got more games after the PS2/XBX era.

Very interesting read. I love behind the scenes stuff like this.

Re: Sealed NES Castlevania Sold For $90,000 Because It Was "The First Game My Mom Ever Bought Me"
You could have bought a loose or even boxed copy of Castlevania for so much less. That would be fine for me and countless others.

Re: Does Your SNES Have A Ticking Time Bomb Inside?
My Super NES is still good but I have a Super NT as well.
Re: Review: Analogue Duo - The Best Way To Enjoy The Entire PC Engine / TG16 Library
I would love this but I only have 4 Hu Cards. I don't have the funds to collect this system.
Re: Talking Point: Will Hand-Drawn Pixel Art Still Be Viable In Ten Years Time?
There are always so many games, some can certainly be made with pixel art. Nothing wrong with variety.
Sea of Stars is fricking gorgeous.
Re: Best PS2 RPGs Of All Time
I would love even a straight port of DQ8 on a modern console.
Re: Limited Run Games Reissuing Three Stooges Games For NES And GBA
Yep. Plumbers Don't Wear Ties was re-released. Jekyl and Hyde for NES will be next. Meanwhile, we are still waiting for Rondo of Blood for PCE CD-ROM. Maybe LRG is waiting for the Analog Duo which can be pre-ordered.
Re: Analogue Duo Launches This Year, Pre-Orders Open This Week
Pre-order was very smooth, no issues. I wonder if most people forgot about it or missed the update.
Also not sure why TE updates an article from 3 years ago instead of posting a new one. For PCE fans this is huge.
Re: "Forgotten" Zelda Adventure Gets Ported To Game Boy
Anything would be an improvement. By the looks of it, this surely is.

Re: Random: The Story Behind Ico's "Terrible" North American Box Art
The original cover is better but not sure it sells the game very well to Western audiences either.

nice comments. I have never heard of this in my life so I'm with the actor.
Re: "If HBO Made Zelda" - The Untold Story Of Legacy Of Kain: Dead Sun
I remember seeing a video of Dead Sun a few years ago and being bummed. Maybe we'll get another game in the Kain universe someday.
Re: Random: WATA Graded A 2016 Castlevania Repro, And Now It's On eBay For $4,000
Wow, WATA is a joke. I'm sure Pat and Ian will cover this on the CUPodcast.
I'm still waiting for the Analogue Duo and Limited Run release of Rondo of Blood.
Re: How A Plagiarised Review Turned 'Rule Of Rose' Into A PS2 "Video Game Nasty"
Wow, just wow. What happened to Fact Checking in 2006?
Re: Evercade EXP Shipment Worth Half A Million Pounds Has Been Stolen
Wow. Hope the crooks get caught and the stuff in the lory are reclaimed. I'm guessing these will be on the black market and not ebay.
Re: Batman Voice Actor Kevin Conroy Has Passed Away
Such sad news. May he Rest in Peace.
Re: TurboGrafx-16 / PC Engine Support For Analogue Pocket Is Here
I hope Analogue are still going to release their TurboDuo FPGA.
Re: Hardware Review: Analogue Pocket - Potent FPGA Power In Portable Form
If I played these portable systems I would be all over this. Great deal.
Re: Intellivision's Wii-Like Amico Console Gets Delayed For A Third Time
Not sure why you keep posting articles about the Amico and the Poly Mega. What website is this?
And calling the Amico like a Wii or Wii-U is a stretch.

WTH are you doing Nintendo Life?

Re: Random: Even If We Don't See Switch Pro Today, At Least We've Got The Atari VCS, Right?
I have not seen anything that justifies the price point. Pass on the VCS.

IDK. It has an optical drive but it uses emulation in part or fully. Hope it comes out for the backers. I have seen a lot of Youtubers with units months ago.
Re: Analogue's Next FPGA Console Tackles Kanye West's Favourite System: The PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16
This would be perfect for me if I could afford the games.
Re: Hardware Review: Game Gear Micro - Go Home Sega, You're Drunk
I don't see the appeal. But if this is marketed for Japan consumers their response is really all that matters.
Re: Feature: Drugged Coffee, Pirated Games And Empty Bank Accounts - The Story Of GameFan Magazine
Very nice interview. I remember reading a Gamefan in summer 1995 when trying to decide between the PlayStation and the Saturn, having stopped playing games for some time during my high school years.
Re: Site News: We've Got A Polymega, Ask Us Anything
How is the emulation and is that how games are playable on all systems? I don't think it's using an FPGA to run games native.
