@Chunkboi79 Do they use actual up to date emulators and properly mapped buttons that can be configured to whatever you want? Because of lot them don't let you do that.
Lol I'm fine with my Series X as an emulation device, thank you. Or PC.
@abdias Emulation on Retro Freak isn't that great, uses an older version of Snes9x with speed hacks (weak hardware) and a lot of games that use Mode 7 lack color gradients.
@bryce951 Yeah, if you can find one that's not scalped by losers on eBay, sure. I'd be all over getting one, they make excellent emulation boxes.
This, this here is objectively overpriced crap
@cleveland124 Kega Fusion? Really? Ha ha ha ha ha! It doesn't even come close to emulating the YM2612 properly. Blast 'Em and M2Engage (Genesis Mini) does a better job.
I did have some hope for this, until they took cheap shots at Analogue and goaded them for using FPGA systems. Sure it's a high quality emulation device, but come on, grow the heck up, you troglodytic fools.
Sorry, I don't support butthurt loser companies who bash other companies because they can't deliver promises made. But the sycophants are gonna sycophant.
I refuse to support a product from a company who was a total d-bag on Twitter to people who had the audacity to ask about FPGA console. What a bunch of morons.
@BulbasaurusRex I stated my opinion and I stick with that.
@cleveland124 FPGA is more akin to hardware emulation and is far more accurate than any software emulator can be.
@Atariboy Excuse me? When the blue blazes did I ever say I was going to get this piece of crap? I have an SD2SNES and a Super NT. Did I freaking stutter?
I didn't preorder the thing, at all, don't accuse me of something that stupid or you'll be blocked.
Ah yes Polymega, the punks who've been discrediting and disparaging companies like Analog on Twitter, claiming that FPGA is worse than using traditional software emulation. How anyone can defend these arrogant morons is beyond me.
@BulkSlash Essentially, FPGA uses hardware emulation, which is nearly cycle-accurate, but much more difficult to pull off and emulating systems like N64 via FPGA are excruciatingly difficult. So they turned to HLE, which is fast, but terribly inaccurate. What a waste of potential.

Re: Hands On: Anbernic RG353P - Shamelessly Inspired By Nintendo
Do they still use those pathetically weak SOCs that can't even run GBA without frameskip?
Re: This Device Could End Up Being Essential For All Retro Gamers
@BulbasaurusRex Well Nintendo won't preserve their games properly, so....
Re: This Device Could End Up Being Essential For All Retro Gamers
Homebrew scene is doing what Nintendont, preserving old games properly.

Re: Can't Get An Analogue Pocket? This Cheap And Dinky Handheld Might Plug The Gap
Wake me up when those devices use emulators that aren't pieces of crap.
Re: Polymega Units Are Finally Arriving In The Hands Of Customers
Waste of money

Re: Polymega Release "Still On Track" Despite Production Problems
Yes because people clearly can't get a cheaper emulation box that does all this and more.
Oh wait.

Still too expensive

Re: You Could Get Your Hands On A Polymega Early Thanks To Its Upcoming Beta Test
@ramu-chan Saturn is notoriously difficult to emulate
Re: You Could Get Your Hands On A Polymega Early Thanks To Its Upcoming Beta Test
I'd rather use FPGA based emulation consoles due to being more accurate
Re: This New Handheld Wants To Heal The Scars Of Gaming's Most Infamous Console War
In before crappy emulation
Re: Best Of 2019: Your Beloved Games Console Is Slowly But Surely Dying
This is why the method, that starts with "E" is so appealing. Thanks to Nintendo Switch Online, etc.
Re: Polymega Slips Into Early 2020, But It's Bringing Some Cool Stuff With It
Lol they think software emulation is superior to FPGA hardware emulation x3
Re: Hardware Review: The Terraonion Mega SD Is A Truly Next-Gen Flash Cartridge
That looks awesome indeed, though I may stick to the Mega Everdrive as it is half the price

Re: Hardware Review: Analogue Mega Sg: Forget The Mega Drive Mini, This Is The Real Deal
@BulbasaurusRex Meh, couldn't care less about CRTs
Re: Hardware Review: Analogue Mega Sg: Forget The Mega Drive Mini, This Is The Real Deal
@sketchturner N64 on FPGA is near-impossible to achieve.
Re: Hardware Review: Analogue Mega Sg: Forget The Mega Drive Mini, This Is The Real Deal
I don't get the hate, people aren't forced to get this, but if people want horrible visuals on a modern display with an OG Genesis, that's on them.

Re: More Tantalising Polymega Details Emerge From GDC 2019
@Atariboy Doesn't give Polymega the right to be condescending jagweeds on Twitter either. Sounds like you're defending them. Sad.
If I wanted to play software emulators, I'd use my PC instead of this vaporware hunk of junk

Still would rather use this than Soulja Boy's crap
Re: Feature: The Console Wars Are Back With The Analogue Mega Sg, The First FPGA Sega Console
@roadrunner343 Okay, hardware emulation. Better than anything officially available otherwise, better than trying to hook up an MD to a modern TV.
Re: Feature: The Console Wars Are Back With The Analogue Mega Sg, The First FPGA Sega Console
@Whalehome Limitations of FPGA chips, they are very powerful but have limitations, as they simulate, rather than emulate hardware.
Re: Feature: The Console Wars Are Back With The Analogue Mega Sg, The First FPGA Sega Console
This, combined with an Everdrive? Excellent.

@Shiryu Too bad they're so pricey though.
Re: Exclusive: Getting Under The Hood Of RetroBlox, The Clone Console To Rule Them All
Can we finally get a retro box that has emulation that doesn't suck with audio?
Sega can't even get the sound right with its Steam games, if this can the sound as good as the unofficial stuff, then I'm sold.
Re: Hardware Review: Retro-Bit Generations
@NinChocolate Well, it works for Sega and their Steam classic games, right?
