@PKDuckman I think getting the rights for Heretic 2 would require working with Activision. I thought it would be more of a challenge since Heretic 2 is third person.
@JackGYarwood Probably getting it confused with Soldier of Fortune. I'm guessing all those years ago when I played NOLFE at my friend's house it was the PS2 version as it couldn't be anything else. I bought the PC version not long after.
Great to see these remastered. Got them for free as well due to owning it on Steam. Loved these back in the day. Never played the sequels although that would be more of a challenge for Nightdive they should work on.
@BausRifle Fun games are fun games. They're platformers and platformers with memory testing but that doesn't mean they're bad. The person you're responding to doesn't seem to realise that.
"If AI coding, for example, just becomes a fact of how it's done in the near future, and if all schools start teaching AI across the board, does Commodore jump on as the world turns, or get spun back out into a parallel universe again, bankrupt, because no parents will buy a new Commodore if it doesn't support their child's curriculum needs?"
This is very true. The BBC is promoting AI and on a program they did they showed an example of AI being used as a way to help kids in school. I'm still however not convinced. 🤔
@PKDuckman I don't mind an IP changing hands as long as the company who gets it treats it with some level of respect. In this case it's absolutely not.
@PinballBuzzbro That could work as well but something still needs to be done about recovering the Pond IP from a company that clearly doesn't know what it's doing with it.
@Ebertron That's cool. I'm trying to sell some newer gaming mags myself along with some other stuff. Been very difficult as the newer stuff doesn't seem to be desirable.
I want to see a happy ending to this. Chris Sorrell needs to make a big enough fuss about it to get the character back in his hands, away from these people. Distancing himself is just letting the character rot, not rescuing the IP.
That's not great, however ask yourself how many times does this happen? Putting the spotlight on a company is all well and good but I very much doubt in Evercade's growing library this is a one off scandal. 🤔
@failaz1986 I have to agree here. It probably happens all the time with bigger titles past and present.
@Exerion76 Are you kidding??? Metal Dragon is awesome!
I very much doubt Nostalgia Nerd's response will satisfy the anti-YouTuber trolls like Simon Butler, George Bum, Retro Simp, etc. They don't really have priorities about exposing what are actual issues in gaming. I had zero interest in Barcadia and due to the location didn't see the point. However, I don't think it was a scam. By being a YouTuber however he made himself a target of troll accounts, some who tend to obsess about Kieran Hawkin among others as well. I can confirm he has blocked the negative reoccurring faces that have appeared on his social media accounts.
@Martin_H Nostalgia Nerd. The people who came after him hate YouTubers.

Re: "He's A Much Loved Character That Kind Of Lost His Way A Little" - Two Classic Monty Mole Games Are Getting Remakes Next Year
Monty does need a well deserved return so here's hoping it turns out great. 👍

This is very impressive!
Re: The Making Of: Earthion - "Working On It Again Reminded Me Just How Incredible The Mega Drive Really Is"
I really wish Ancient had been in charge of the SMS/GG Sonic games all the way through. Aspect's games were very hit and miss.

Here we go again!

Re: Review: ZX Spectrum Next - This FPGA Powerhouse Does Sir Clive Sinclair's Legacy Proud
@shgamer Oh yeah I know about WOS.
Re: "I Wouldn't Wish That Version On My Worst Enemies" - No One Lives Forever Dev Reflects On Challenging PS2 Port
Could have sworn it was ported to Dreamcast but in retrospect PS2 makes sense.
Re: Poll: How Do You Pronounce "Amiga"?
It's pronounced Ah-mee-gah. I got confused by the poll question though. Honestly I'm more a little worried with Australians calling Sega 'Seega'. 😂
Re: Review: ZX Spectrum Next - This FPGA Powerhouse Does Sir Clive Sinclair's Legacy Proud
I can't buy it right now. It's a great recreation of the platform, I just wish it wasn't limited in the units being sold.
Re: "It Should Be The Creators On The Packaging, Not The Publishing Label"
Never played the game but I remember that face. 😂
Re: Mario Kart 64's Unofficial Dreamcast Port Is Out Now
Science is an interesting thing... 😂
Re: Random: This PS1 E.T. Game Includes An Insult Directed At A Terrorist Leader, But You'll Need A Cheat Code
To be honest I don't blame him.
Re: Random: This PS1 E.T. Game Includes An Insult Directed At A Terrorist Leader, But You'll Need A Cheat Code
@KitsuneNight There were like three or four back in 2002 for the anniversary.

Re: Following Valnet's Purchase Of Polygon, There's A Battle To Keep Vital Pieces Of Games Journalism Online
I wish Polygon did more full length docs on games like Spycraft. That one was amazing!
Re: Feature: "It Started To Get Really Uncomfortable" - Before GTA & Def Jam Fight For NY, Ice-T Starred In This Supernatural Action RPG
I've never heard of the game, looks fun.
Re: ZX Spectrum Next Campaign Adds Core For Another Classic '80s Computer
@Frallum I'll look into that, thanks for the info.
Re: ZX Spectrum Next Campaigns Adds Core For Another Classic '80s Computer
@shgamer I just want to have the finances down the line so I can buy one. No one wants to buy one from scalpers.
Re: ZX Spectrum Next Campaigns Adds Core For Another Classic '80s Computer
Could a stretch goal be to manufacture more units so that it's not so limited? 🤔
Re: "He Seems To Have Turned Blue" - Gameware Can't Even Get James Pond's Colour Right
James Pond has been race swapped I tell yer!
Or as usual the company don't know what they're doing. 😉
Re: "Please Support Us" Pleads Yuzo Koshiro As Pirated Earthion ROM Appears Online
It's like a reverse of Paprium! 😲
To be honest I'm more likely to buy the Steam version at some point. An off branded MD release doesn't appeal to me.
Re: VGHF Acquires Rights To Historic Magazine That Covered The Rise Of The NES
Never even heard of Computer Entertainer but well done making the magazines available.

Re: Three Years Later, And Hyperkin's PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 Clone Is Finally Coming Out
I'm not expecting much with compatibility.

I'm getting the impression BattleToads isn't the MD version. 🤔

This is really nice! I am tempted.
Re: Captain America And The Avengers Gets The Unofficial Remake Treatment, And It's Free
The problem I have with his mods is that it adds stuff but ends up removing other stuff.
Re: The Story Of Jet Set Radio's Unexpected Journey From Dreamcast To Game Boy Advance
It's a very impressive port considering the hardware and what the original game was asking.

@Trmn8r Thanks!

Re: After Almost A Decade, SegaMags Becomes 'The Gaming Newsagent'
@Ebertron Are you contactable on X or by email? Not sure if you want to buy anything off me.

@Mayhem He needs to own Amiga again that's for sure.

Why don't you buy it? Wait...your comments history man, what the hell??? 😆
Re: Review: Earthion (Steam) - A Genuine Shmup Masterpiece From Yuzo Koshiro And Makoto Wada
Again I wish Sega would publish these games, leaving money on the table. 😆

It's called SegaMags but sells Nintendo mags? 🤔
Re: New James Pond Revival Announced With "Cod-Awful" AI Marketing Campaign
@Andee In the first game as James Pond you had to dispose of rubbish I think. 🤔
Re: New James Pond Revival Announced With "Cod-Awful" AI Marketing Campaign
AI has come for James Pond! He deserves better than this! 🤦♂️
@Ristar24 All three were a lot of fun and are pretty enjoyable platformers. I do have a soft spot for the first game as well.
Re: Commodore Announces Xenon 3: Hyperblast For Steam, Switch And PlayStation
A sequel is great although remasters of the first two games with better frame rates would be more helpful at this stage.
Re: A Brand New Sega Master System Shoot 'Em Up Is In Development, With A Demo You Can Play Now
I really wish these had official releases. Sega leaving money on the table as usual. 😪
@h3s Half the library was made for PAL so that could explain why. Anybody playing Lucky Dime Caper in 60fps is playing it incorrectly.
@HoyeBoye Oh you should try more. The SMS library is incredibly underrated.
