Nesticle and Mame was the first emulators I used, back in 1997. Felt like black magic, being able to play those games on a PC 😁

I found, and saved, a lot of the fun romhacks.
Especially love the ones, that removes slowdown.

The Pocket already does an amazing job att emulating the look of the original screen, with the filters.

I love that we're still getting new high quality indie/homebrew games for the Mega Drive.

Now THIS is the type of games that deserves remake/remasters.

THIS is how you make a Mega Drive shmup.

I'm more impressed by speedrunners, that actually play through the game, instead of abusing glitches and bugs.

Abandoned, because it looked and played like crap, perhaps?
It just basically Jetpac, mixed in with defender.
It would have been dead on arrival, compared to all the great Konami shmups.
At least Wizards and Warriors, was different enough, that it stood out of the crowd.

Imagine if we got Amiga games like this, back in the early 90:s, instead of the typical, rushed to market, euro trash. If they actually had put some time and effort into the action games, they could have been just as good as the ones on the 16 bit consoles.
I can't belive I spent money on those horrible Arcade ports, back then. They were all basically broken, and maybe running in 10-20 fps, if we were lucky. 😂
At least I got my money back, when I returned to the store, with that terrible Final Fight port.
Last time I ever bought a arcade game for the Amiga. Some things sure wasn't better, back in the day 😁

Read the article again. It's coming for both Mega Drive and the 32X. The 32x version has enhancements.

"We've since had confirmation from the developer that the game will run on standard Mega Drive hardware too, but when running via a 32X (or on the GF1 Neptune) it will be "better"."

This is the kind of game, SEGA should have made for the 32x hardware.
And as someone who LOVES the Shinobi series, this looks promising.

Watched gameplay from that Custers Revenge remake, and it's VERY tame, since it doesn't even include the good old in out action, of the original 2600 game.

They went too over the top with all the colors and detailed backgrounds. I tested the demo, and it's hard to tell what's part of the background or an actuall obstacle. They should reduce the brightness on the background, so the actuall sprites and bullets are easier to see.

$79.99!?! For a re-release of two mediocre arcade ports?? Are they mental??

Skipping this. Never like the game, due to the insane difficulty spikes, compared to other shmups on the system. Music is pretty mediocre as well.

Yeah, I'll also rather buy a rom, that I can use on my PC or Pocket.
The novelty of buying new carts, for old systems, have faded for me. I just wanna play the game.

Midnight Resistance, with a d-pad sucks.
No matter what setting, even in the genesis version, it's just a hassle to play.
If the Evercade consoles had analog sticks, it would work great as a twin stick game.
That's how I control the game, when emulating rotary games, on the PC.

Terrible game.
The third game was pretty damn good though, as it looked like Rastan again, and played much better, compared to this trash.

This doesn't even look like a Perfect Dark game.
It feels like they made a mediocre Hitman/Deus Ex styled game, and just threw the Perfect Dark name on it, to save the project.

I miss that logo.
They should have added it to the new 2.5D Contra game, just as a nostalgic tribute.

For all the money they make, from these stupid overpriced editions, you would think that they would actually use stuff of much higher quality.

I used it once, and never again.
Just didn't see the point of it.

Still love to look through my old computer and videogame magazines, from the 80:s.
I stopped buying magazines, around 1994.
I though the magazines dropped in quality in the 90:s, and the 32 bit era just wasn't as exciting to read about. And around 1996, I got all the news from Internet anyways.

But I will keep those 80:s mags forever.

They should have put all the games in ONE cabinet instead.
